Pegboard Puppets

Dancing puppets on a board or ‘Marionettes a la planchette’ is a tradition dating from medieval times in which puppets are suspended by string onto a plank.

Diana and Alan have performed at home and abroad with dancing puppets Patrick and Jack for over 20 years to the eternal delight and appreciation of both young (as you can see below) and old. Jack and Patrick dance to the accompaniment of Irish music played on the penny whistle and bhodran.
